VCU vs. Saint Joseph’s 2016: Time, TV schedule and how to watch the Atlantic 10 title game online

The Rams and Hawks are playing for pride — and valuable NCAA Tournament positioning.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlantic 10 Tournament comes to a close on Sunday, and the league's two remaining teams are set up for a dramatic clash for the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

No. 2 VCU and No. 4 Saint Joseph’s will meet for the A-10 title on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS, in a rematch of the 2014 Atlantic 10 Tournament final. That game went to the Hawks, 65-61, as they held the Rams to 38 percent shooting from the floor.

This year, though, VCU got the upper hand on St. Joe’s. In their only regular-season meeting, the Rams erased a 10-point deficit in the final six minutes of play for an 85-82 victory in Philadelphia.

If that’s the script we can expect the two teams to follow on Sunday, it might be a bigger boon for the Rams than it would be for the Hawks. VCU was projected as a No. 10 seed in Chris Dobbertean’s bracketology entering the weekend, while Saint Joseph’s was a No. 8 seed, thanks to strong non-conference work.
