March Madness 2016: Times and TV schedule for Sunday

Four Cinderellas hope to delay midnight in Sunday’s tourney action. Plus, top seeds Oregon, Oklahoma, Villanova and Xavier are in action.

A wild opening Friday in the 2016 NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament has shaken up the second round schedule set for Sunday. Sparty is dead as Middle Tennessee knocked out the Midwest No. 2 seed Michigan State on Friday. The Blue Raiders won’t be the only low seed playing for a shot at the Sweet 16 on Sunday, though: East No. 14 seed Stephen F. Austin advanced past West Virginia, South No. 13 Hawaii beat Cal and No. 11 Northern Iowa beat Texas out West.

Unfortunately, the hopeful Cinderellas will have to do it all over again as each team seeded No. 11 or lower faces a top-8 seed in their region on Sunday. Stephen F. Austin is the first longshot in action Sunday, taking on Notre Dame in CBS’s 2:40 p.m. ET afternoon showcase.

There are some high seeds who did survive Friday and hope to use Sunday to springboard into the Sweet 16, as well. The three surviving No. 2 seeds -- Villanova, Oklahoma and Xavier -- will all be in action as will West No. 1 Oregon and No. 3 Texas A&M. (Northern Iowa derailed a potential Sunday match-up between A&M and Texas; certainly the Longhorns are hoping the Aggies meet the same fate they did.)

All of Sunday’s games will be broadcast live on TV as laid out below. You can also stream every game online at March Madness Live.
