Iowa vs. Villanova 2016: Time, TV schedule and live stream for NCAA Tournament

The Wildcats take on the cardiac Hawkeyes.

No. 2 Villanova had no trouble in its first game of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. No. 7 Iowa barely escaped the first round of March Madness with a win. Now, the Wildcats and Hawkeyes meet in Sunday's second round.

Villanova's 86-56 immolation of UNC Asheville was the second-largest win of the first round, behind only No. 1 Virginia's 81-45 crushing of No. 16 Hampton. The Wildcats got scoring from all quarters in the victory, with seven players scoring at least seven points, but none scoring more than Daniel Ochefu's 17. And with Ochefu looking quite healthy in his first action after struggling with an ankle injury in the Big East Tournament, the Wildcats look about as dangerous as any team in the field.

If Iowa can find the form that made it No. 2 in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings in February, though, the Hawkeyes can beat any team in America. Alas, they looked more like the team that has lost five of its last eight games against Temple, which scuffled in its own right, on Friday: Iowa shot 42 percent from the field and 25 percent from three, generating its offense by simple attrition thanks to just three turnovers.

Whichever team wins will know its Sweet Sixteen opponent at the final whistle: Miami awaits either the Wildcats or Hawkeyes in Louisville.
