The players who need to take over the Sweet 16

Let’s look at the dominant forces left in each region, how to deal with crushing loss, and hear what America got most wrong with their bracket picks.Watch on YouTube | Subscribe to SB Nation on YouTube

At this point in the tournament, pretty much everyone is scary and can do specific things on either end of the court to put the fear of life into other teams. Also, Syracuse is still in it. That said, which players from each region are good enough to take over a game late against wildly talented opponents?

East

Are the duo of Marcus Paige and Brice Johnson the most dominant or is Indiana’s Yogi Ferrell the one player in the region who can truly take over late in a game?

Midwest

Is Virginia’s Malcolm Brogdon the obvious choice for the region or is Iowa State’s Georges Niang or Gonzaga’s Domantas Sabonis the guy who can put it all on his back against a very good team?

South

Sure, Kansas’ Perry Ellis and Wayne Selden are clear cut superb players in the region, but does the guard matchup in the Miami-Villanova game - Angel Rodriguez vs Ryan Arcidiacono - produce the region’s most intriguing playmaker?

West

Duke’s Brandon Ingram is the clear best NBA talent in the region, but what is it about Buddy Hield that should terrorize Texas A&M (or anyone else Oklahoma may play down the line)?
