Buddy Hield is hoping for Oklahoma vs. Kansas Part III

The brightest star in college basketball is desperate for one last shot against his biggest rivals.

Kansas and Oklahoma played two of the more memorable games of the 2015-16 regular season, with the Jayhawks prevailing in both instances.

First, there was the 109-106 triple overtime thriller in Lawrence, which is widely regarded as one of the best college basketball games in recent memory. Revenge escaped Oklahoma a month later when they were dealt a 76-72 loss by Kansas on their home floor in another highly competitive game.

The world was nearly treated to a third game between the two powerhouses, but potential national Player of the Year Buddy Hield's apparent halfcourt game-winner against West Virginia in the Big 12 Tournament semifinals left his hand a tenth of a second too late.

There’s still time, however, for Kansas-Oklahoma III to go down. With the Jayhawks one win over Villanova away from joining the Sooners in Houston for a clash in the Final Four, Hield admitted that he was rooting for another shot at his conference rival.

This wasn’t the first time that Hield has been open about his desire to see Kansas again.

We wouldn’t hate it either, Buddy.
