As the NCAA Tournament shifts from regional finals to the Final Four, the second and third tiers of postseason college basketball will get their championship games played. For the 2016 CBI, that begins Monday night as Nevada travels to Morehead State to begin the best-of-three championship series.

The third-tier postseason tournament begins its championship series Monday.
That format is unique to the College Basketball Invitational among postseason tournaments. Morehead State will host the first game between the two teams on Monday, while Nevada is set to host the next two on Wednesday and Friday. Teams aren’t seeded in the CBI, so Nevada will likely host two of the three games because it was willing to pay more for the privilege.
The Wolf Pack have rolled to this point in the tournament, with home wins over Montana, Eastern Washington, and Vermont, and two of them coming by double digits. They get most of their points from inside, thanks to woeful perimeter shooting, and play fine defense despite an up-tempo pace.
The Eagles, on the other hand, have played on the road twice on the way to the CBI championship series, sandwiching a home win over Duquesne between road wins over Siena and Ohio. Big men Anthony Elechi and DeJuan Marrero control the boards and power their offense.
