Arizona has landed another blue chip recruit in the Class of 2016. Shooting guard Terrance Ferguson committed to the Wildcats on Wednesday night, as the fourth member of an incoming freshman class that ranks among the best in the country.

Ferguson was originally committed to Alabama but reopened his recruitment earlier this year. He is very familiar with Arizona coach Sean Miller after playing for him at the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championships last summer.

Ferguson is a 6’7, 185-pound wing who is among the best shooters and best pure athletes in the incoming freshman class. He is ranked No. 13 by ESPN and No. 12 by Rivals in the Class of 2016. He was a McDonald’s All-American and shined at last week’s Nike Hoops Summit, where his seven made three-pointers set a record for the event.

Ferguson joins what was already a loaded class for Arizona. Miller already has commitments from five-star 6’6 point guard Kobi Simmons, five-star 6’5 shooting guard Rawle Alkins and five-star Finnish power forward Lauri Markkanen.
