Syracuse vs. North Carolina 2016 live stream: How to watch the Final Four online
Saturday’s second national semifinal features the Orange against the Tar Heels.
North Carolina is nearly a 10-point favorite, and the Heels probably should win this game going away. They have the best player on the floor in do-everything forward Brice Johnson, and they are a No. 1 seed for a reason. Syracuse isn’t nearly as pedigreed, but the Orange have spent the tournament doing things they weren’t supposed to do, and maybe Jim Boeheim’s team has one or two more tricks up its sleeve.
It’ll take a massive effort to beat the Tar Heels, but it’s already taken a massive effort to get this far. The Orange had a somewhat easy road to the Sweet 16, scoring a nice win over No. 7 Dayton in the first round but then drawing a 15th-seeded Cinderella, Middle Tennessee, in the round of 32. But their regional path was tricky, requiring a gutty 3-point win against No. 11 Gonzaga and a furious late comeback against top seed Virginia.
North Carolina was the No. 1 seed in the East Region, and the Heels have played like it in four games. They haven’t had a real scare against Florida Gulf Coast, Providence, Indiana or Notre Dame, and now they’ll search for a third national title under head coach Roy Williams.
Here’s the lowdown on the game’s TV schedule, including the alternate broadcasts tailored to fans of either the Tar Heels or the Orange. All times are Eastern:
