Recruit Isaiah Stokes shatters backboard with monster dunk in AAU tournament

Isaiah Stokes is the younger brother of Jarnell Stokes, the former Tennessee star who was selected with the No. 35 pick of the 2014 NBA Draft. Isaiah is a solid player in his own right, ranked as the No. 73 prospect in the class of 2017 by ESPN. He’s also considered a three-star offensive tackle in football.
ESPN lists Stokes at 6’8, 273 pounds. He’s a big kid. It’s no wonder then that the backboards at a grassroots event in Las Vegas could not contain him when he threw down a monstrous dunk on Thursday. The photographs are proof:

Stokes was tended to by trainers after the dunk but he appears to be OK.

A little flesh wound is a small price to pay for shattering a backboard. Not bad for a player who hasn’t begun his senior year of high school yet.
