Reigning national champion Villanova is back at the top of the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll.
NCAA basketball rankings 2017: Villanova reclaims No. 1 spot
Baylor’s time at the top of the AP Poll proved to be short lived, as the Bears’ 22-point loss to West Virginia paved the way for Villanova to claim the top spot for the second time this season.

Despite receiving four fewer first-place votes than No. 2 Kansas, the Wildcats still received enough total points to jump the Jayhawks and claim the poll’s top spot for the second time this season. Villanova replaces Baylor, which was No. 1 for the first time in program history last week, but was defeated soundly by West Virginia in its first game with the ranking. The Bears fell all the way to No. 6.
UCLA, which received three first-place votes, moved up one spot to No. 3. The other two first-place votes went to the nation’s only remaining unbeaten team, Gonzaga, which moved up to No. 4. Kentucky rounded out the poll’s top five.
