With Indiana deadlocked in a 75-all tie against Penn State in a game the up-and-down Hoosiers could not afford to lose, Tom Crean made the logical choice to give the ball to his best offensive player and let him win it.
Indiana’s James Blackmon Jr. beats Penn State at the buzzer

James Blackmon Jr., IU's leading scorer at 17.5 points per game, did not disappoint.

The shot saved Indiana from potentially adding a less-than-stellar loss to an already bizarre resume, and also got the Hoosiers (13-6, 3-3) back up to .500 in Big Ten play. Penn State’s conference record slipped to the same mark, and the Nittany Lions fell to 11-8 overall.
During the team’s on-court celebration, Blackmon Jr. had a final message for the home crowd.
