NC State basketball beat Duke at home for the first time since 1995.
Dennis Smith Jr. leads NC State to first win at Duke in 22 years
Coach K needs to keep his back healthy.

There were a few factors that contributed to this win.
1. Dennis Smith Jr. (a freshman!) scored a career-high 32 points.
2. Smith Jr. also stole the ball at the very end of the game, with the Wolfpack up 84-82, allowing NC State to prevent Duke from scoring a game-tying two points.
This dunk didn’t count, but it was still a sweet play.
3. Coach Mike Krzyzewski is still not coaching Duke as he continues to recover from back surgery. He was also out during the 1995 game due to — you guessed it — a back injury.
The 1995 game had a bit of a larger margin, though. The Wolfpack beat the Blue Devils 77-60 then. Jeff Capel managed to hold his team a bit closer this year.
