Nevada pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in college basketball history on Saturday night against New Mexico. Down 25 points with 11 minutes to go, Nevada stormed back behind an incredible game from sophomore Jordan Caroline to stun the Lobos 105-104 at the Pit.

You need to take a step back to realize how wild this comeback was: Nevada trailed by 19 with 4:27 left, by 15 with 2:42 left and were down nine with 49 seconds left. Caroline, who went off for 45 points, completed the rally with this go-ahead three-pointer in the final seconds of overtime:

Caroline is the son of former NFL All-Pro Simeon Rice. This is his first season at Nevada after transferring from Southern Illinois, and he’s spent it making the transition from a frontcourt player to a wing. Caroline is problem on the perimeter at 6’7, 235 pounds, and he proved it against New Mexico. His 45 points came on only 29 shots (he hit 5-of-8 threes), and he also added 13 rebounds.

The 25-point rally is the eighth-largest, second-half comeback in college basketball history, per ESPN. The final minute is amazing to watch:

Nevada was rightfully jacked up after the win:

Nevada is now 14-3 in its second season under Eric Musselman. This program hasn’t made the NCAA tournament since 2007, but the roster is talented. Cam Oliver — remember his big tip dunk last week? — might be the best player in the Mountain West and Caroline isn’t far behind.

Simeon Rice likes it:

March Madness will be here before you know it. Keep an eye on Nevada.
