In the first half of Indiana’s game at Seton Hall Wednesday night, Hoosiers sophomore guard Devonte Green found himself in one of the most awkward predicaments in basketball.
Indiana player steals ball while holding a damn shoe
Who holds a shoe?

Green lost his left shoe while playing defense, seemingly leaving him with one of two options:
1) Try and hastily put the shoe back on before anything significant happens.
2) Kick the shoe to the side, try and play some defense, and wait for the next stoppage of play to get rearranged.
Green chose neither of these options. Instead he picked up his shoe with one hand, rotated it to the other when he saw a Seton Hall player driving to the basket, recorded a steal with his free hand, and then called timeout himself.
All things considered, we may not see a more impressive defensive play in college basketball this season.
