Marvin Bagley III scored 10 of his 34 points in overtime, capping off a comeback win for the No. 1 Duke Blue Devils, beating the Texas Longhorns 85-78 in the semifinals of the PK80 Invitational Tournament on Friday evening at the Moda Center in Portland, Ore.

Bagley scored 34 points on 12-of-18 shooting and grabbed 15 rebounds, getting the better of fellow stud freshman Mohamed Bamba of Texas, who had nine points and 10 rebounds but was limited with foul trouble.

Bamba blocked a potential game-tying shot by Bagley with 35.9 seconds left, but then committed his fifth foul on Gary Trent Jr.‘s three-point play just three seconds later that gave the Blue Devils their first lead since the first minute of the game.

With Bamba out for the extra period, coupled with 6’9 forward Jericho Sims also fouling out in overtime, Texas had no real answers at the rim on defense.

Wendell Carter Jr. added 14 points and 11 rebounds for Duke, who played five freshmen for the final seven minutes of the game, after Grayson Allen fouled out.

Dylan Osetkowski had 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists in defeat for Texas, now 4-1 on the young season. The Longhorns were looking for their first-ever win over a team ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press poll.

Duke rallied to take the lead in the final minute of regulation after trailing by as many as 16 points in the second half, but Matt Coleman hit 1-of-2 free throws with 19 seconds remaining for Texas to send the game to overtime.

Duke advances to the championship game of the Motion bracket, and on Sunday night (10:30 p.m. ET, ESPN) will play the winner of Friday night’s other semifinal between No. 7 Florida and No. 17 Gonzaga.
