Kentucky’s Quade Green’s shiny sunglasses are the best new college basketball meme

Green scored 17 points in Kentucky’s win over Virginia Tech.

Kentucky freshman point guard Quade Green was accidentally poked in the eye in the Wildcats’ win over Monmouth on Dec. 9. The injury was so bad that Green’s eye was initially swollen shut and left him sensitive to light.

Still, Green was in the lineup for Kentucky’s weekend showdown against Virginia Tech. And he did it....wearing these shiny sunglasses. The jokes wrote themselves:

Green was essential in the Wildcats’ 93-86 win, finishing with 17 points and five assists. Now he says he’s going to wear the glasses all year:
