Jimmy V Classic 2017: Start times, TV schedule, live stream info for Syracuse-UConn, Gonzaga-Villanova

The Syracuse Orange, Connecticut Huskies, Gonzaga Bulldogs, and Villanova Wildcats will all collide in the Jimmy V Classic beginning Tuesday night.

First, Villanova and Gonzaga will go head-to-head at 7 p.m. ET. After that, Syracuse and Connecticut will clash at 9:30 p.m. ET. ESPN (live stream) will broadcast both matchups.

The Jimmy V Classic was created to help raise awareness and money for cancer research. This game is named after Jim Valvano, the former North Carolina State University basketball coach who died of cancer in 1993.

Villanova (8-0) and Gonzaga (7-1) have gotten off to a fast starts this season. Both teams are averaging more than 85 points per game. Villanova is in first place in the Big East, and Gonzaga sits atop of the West Coast Conference. Since both teams are lethal on offense, this game will come down to which team can play better defense.

Syracuse (6-1) and Connecticut (6-2) are also playing stellar basketball in the early stages of this long season. However, the Orange are coming off a huge loss to Kansas at the HoopHall Invitational. And the Huskies have recently squeezed out victories Columbia and Monmouth.
