The College Insiders.com Tournament has been around for eight seasons now, and unlike the NCAA Tournament, it features mostly low-major schools. The CIT selection committee features 10 athletic directors, while the regional selection committee features names you’ve probably heard of before, such as Antonio Gates, Vincent Jackson, and Arthur Hightower.
CIT 2017 bracket: Full field of 26 teams announced

The McClendon Classic will be an annual part of the CIT, an 9-year-old postseason tournament that accommodates the expanding ranks of Division I basketball. This season, the tournament will also include the Hugh Durham, Lou Henson and Riley Wallace Classics,
The CIT does not use a bracket format, like the NCAA Tournament does. As a result, the second-round games are determined after all the first-round games are played. This holds true when to determining matchups in the quarterfinals and semifinals.
