The Irish kick off the First Round against Ivy League champs Princeton.

This will be a 5-12 matchup in the West region, where the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have been placed after a 25-9 season that put them second in the American Athletic Conference. The 6’5 forward Bonzie Coleman has taken the lead for Notre Dame all season, leading them in points, rebounds and blocks.
The Irish are dangerous behind the three-point line, with four shooters hitting above 40 percent, including Coleman’s 41 percent. While Coleman isn’t prolific behind the arc, Notre Dame has three shooters who have at least 50 made triples this season, led by V.J. Beachem’s 86 makes on 229 attempts.
Princeton can match Notre Dame behind the arc, however, with their top three scorers all averaging between 12.6 and 13.7 points while shooting 41 or 42 percent from deep. The Tigers finished first in the Ivy League this season, going 23-6 on the year.
We all know what the important part is: that March Madness is here.
