The first set of First Four games for the NCAA Tournament were played on Tuesday night, with No. 16 Mount Saint Mary’s beating No. 16 New Orleans, and No. 11 Kansas State beating No. 11 Wake Forest.

The winner from the No. 16 seed matchup will advance to face the No. 1 overall seed Villanova in the East region. The winner of this one faces No. 6 Cincinnati in the South.

On Thursday, the real action starts. Beginning around noon, there is a whole mess of games. The entire East and West bracket’s first-round games tipping off. Some of the more intriguing matchups in the West include the No. 8 Northwestern Wildcats vs. the No. 9 Vanderbilt Commodores, and No. 3 Florida State vs. No. 14 Florida Gulf Coast.

And in the East, we’ll have our first look at the No. 1 overall seed, and defending national champion Villanova Wildcats. We’ll also get to see No. 8 Wisconsin vs. No. 9 Virginia Tech, and No. 7 South Carolina vs. No. 10 Marquette.
