NCAA Tournament 2017 schedule: How to watch and stream March Madness on Friday

We’ve got 16 tournament games on Friday.

The NCAA tournament’s second full day of competition is Friday, with 16 first-round games running from the early afternoon to late at night on the East Coast. After Friday’s games, the tournament will be down to a field of 32 teams.

The Kansas Jayhawks and North Carolina Tar Heels, two of the tournament’s No. 1 seeds, make their tournament debuts on Friday. So do the Duke Blue Devils, the No. 2 seed in the East region, coming off an ACC tournament win. But there are good games up and down the schedule.

Dayton and Wichita State are the Nos. 7 and 10 seeds, respectively, in the South Region. But Wichita’s favored to win that game, as the Shockers might be the most disrespected team in the history of Big Dance seeding. Michigan and Oklahoma State, another 7-10 matchup in the Midwest, might treat us to a points bonanza. They have two of the most efficient offenses in the country, and neither’s any good at defense.

Friday’s games include seeds from every region in the tournament. They’re at half of the tournament’s subregional sites: Indianapolis, Sacramento, Tulsa (Okla.), and Greenville (S.C.). Each of those sites has a four-game slate on the day, which more-or-less breaks down: early afternoon, mid-afternoon, evening, late-night.

The NCAA tournament is fun all the way through. But these couple of days — with a combined 32 first-round games on Thursday and Friday — are the peak of the excitement. There’s going to be huge drama and a shocking upset or two on Friday, and the whole fun of the Big Dance is learning where they’ll be.

The winners of Friday’s games will play their second-round games on Sunday. Teams that won on Thursday will be back on the court on Saturday. The winners in the round of 32 will get a week between games, and they’ll meet at the tournament’s regional sites for the Sweet 16 next weekend. Those sites: Kansas City for the Midwest region, Memphis for the South, New York for the East, and San Jose for the West.

A full bracket, updating live throughout the tournament, is right here. If you prefer filling out your bracket by hand, we’ve got one of those for you, too.

You can stream every tournament game at NCAA.com. The games on Friday are split on television between CBS, TNT, TBS, and truTV.
