It’s been something of a down year for the Michigan State Spartans, who entered the NCAA tournament as a No. 9 seed, far short of normal expectations for Tom Izzo’s squad. However, one bright spot has been freshman guard Miles Bridges, who is regarded as one of the top prospects in this year’s NBA Draft.
Michigan State’s Miles Bridges went ‘boom goes the dynamite’ on this putback slam
Bridges is putting on a show in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Bridges is showing why he’s a potential lottery pick against the No. 8 seed Miami Hurricanes. He’s putting on a show, as the Spartans recovered from an early deficit to dominate the Hurricanes, rarely leading by less than 20 points.
This might be the highlight of game right here. Bridges sprints inside from the top of the key, snags a bricked shot out of the air, and throws down a nasty putback dunk.
Yeah, we can see why NBA teams covet the 18-year-old.
Michigan State will move on to face the No. 1 seed Kansas Jayhawks in the second round on Sunday. If Bridges stays on top of his game, the Spartans will be a tough out for the Jayhawks.
