The College Insider Tournament has reached the second round, with the 26-team field trimmed in half. The second round begins on Saturday, with only one game on the schedule thanks to a busy weekend of NCAA tournament and NIT play.

The top three remaining seeds all received byes to the quarterfinals of the CIT, with the Fort Wayne Mastodons, Furman Paladins, and St. Peter’s Peacocks all through to the final eight.
That leaves five games for the second round to fill out the rest of the quarterfinals. The first of those is on Saturday afternoon, with with the Saint Francis (PA) Red Flash battling the UMBC Retrievers at 2 p.m. ET.
Saint Francis beat Jacksonville, 78-76, in the first round on Tuesday, thanks to 13 points and three three-pointers from Andre Wolford, one of four players in double figures in the win.
UMBC outlasted Fairfield, 88-83, on Wednesday, led by guard Jarius Lyles with 20 points and two steals.
Saturday’s game will be streamed online through Facebook Live.
