Florida’s Chris Chiozza says he usually misses his buzzer-beaters in practice
We talkin’ bout practice.

The shot from Chiozza couldn’t have been more perfect. And the ironic part about it, as what we learned on Saturday during the Gators’ Elite Eight press conference, is that when Chiozza hits these type of shots in practice, they don’t go in very often.
Gators fans everywhere are so happy that this was the shot that decided to go in for Chiozza. Here’s what he had to say about the play right after the big win on Friday night.
The shot handed the Gators the victory, and it also sent Florida to its first Elite Eight since the 2014 season. As an added bonus, it gave head coach Mike White some redemption for the Bryce Drew buzzer-beater he was on the wrong side of in 1998.
Not bad, Chiozza.
