Duke and North Carolina played another classic chapter in college basketball’s greatest rivalry on Saturday. UNC took control in the final minutes to secure a 90-83 victory over the Blue Devils. Carolina was already the outright champion in the ACC regular season before the win, but this counts as payback for Duke’s 86-78 victory on Feb. 9.

Joel Berry II was incredible for the Tar Heels, finishing with 27 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field and 5-of-5 shooting from three-point range. Teammate Isaiah Hicks was also excellent on his Senior Night. The veteran big man poured in 19 points and seven rebounds.
The Tar Heels are one of the best rebounding teams in the country and that shined through again on this night. UNC finished with a 36-31 advantage on the glass powered by a 12-8 edge in offensive rebounding.
Luke Kennard kept Duke in the game all night. He continued his breakout season by going off for 25 points. Grayson Allen also had a solid night (14 points) when he wasn’t elbowing UNC players in the head. Duke will now be the No. 5 seed in the ACC tournament.
Will we get a third game in the ACC tournament? Let’s hope so.
