The Lawson brothers announced last week they are leaving Memphis to transfer to Kansas. K.J. Lawson couldn’t resist taking one more shot at his former program on his way out the door.
K.J. Lawson says ‘f--- Tubby’ on Snapchat after transferring from Memphis to Kansas
The Lawsons took one more shot at Memphis before leaving for Kansas.

Lawson was seen on Snapchat shouting “f--- Tubby” on Thursday. Tubby Smith is the Memphis coach who led the Tigers to a 19-13 record in his first season with the team this past season.
Lawson had previously taken a shot at Smith in the most ruthless way possible: by quoting Drake lyrics on Twitter.
This ends the Lawson brothers’ tumultuous run with the Tigers that yielded a lot of drama but no trips to the NCAA tournament.
Both Dedric and K.J. Lawson were highly touted local recruits. To help secure their commitment, former coach Josh Pastner put their father on staff. Dedric reclassified up a year and the Lawsons entered Memphis together ahead of the 2015-16 season.
Dedric was the star of the team from the onset and K.J. was a valuable role player. Dedric averaged 19.2 points per game this season to lead the Tigers in scoring while K.J. finished third at 12.3 points per game. The Lawsons were considered the most talented transfers on the market and committed to Bill Self and the Jayhawks last week.
