It’s here, folks. The moment you’ve all been waiting for: The NCAA tournament national championship game. The North Carolina Tar Heels will take on the Gonzaga Bulldogs to decide who will take home college basketball’s biggest prize.

This game will take place at 9:20 p.m. ET Monday at the University of Phoenix Stadium. You can watch the game on CBS and live stream it on CBS All-Access.

Both teams won close games in the Final Four. The Tar Hells knocked off the Oregon Ducks, 77-76, to advance to their second consecutive championship game, where they have a chance to win their sixth national championship.

North Carolina couldn’t get shots to fall in the Final Four, as it only shot 36.8 percent from the field. However, senior forward Kennedy Meeks shot over 80 percent from the field and scored a game-high 25 points. Forward Justin Jackson chipped in with 22 points. Meeks also corralled 14 rebounds, including a game-saving rebound after North Carolina missed its fourth straight free throw.

The Tar Hells kept missing shots, but Meeks’ eight offensive rebounds gave North Carolina plenty of chances to score. But his teammates couldn’t deliver, shooting 25 percent from the field combined. The Tar Heels must put this horrible shooting performance behind them and focus on the Bulldogs.

Gonzaga defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks, 77-73, to advance to their first title game in program history. Junior guard Nigel Williams-Goss scored 23 points to help lead his team to victory. However, he didn’t do it alone, as the Bulldogs’ big men, Przemek Karnowski and Zach Collins, combined for 27 points and 18 rebounds.

In fact, Collins was a defensive anchor in that game, racking up career-high six blocks. The Gamecocks went on a late-game charge, but Gonzaga held it off. After Williams-Goss missed a shot with 12.7 seconds left in the game, the Gamecocks rebounded the ball and called timeout. Down 75-72, Gonzaga fouled South Carolina’s Sindarius Thornwell before he could release a shot with 3.5 seconds remaining.

Thornwell made his first free throw and intentionally missed the second, hoping his team could grab the rebound to put up one more shot. It didn’t work. Gonzaga’s Killian Tillie rebounded the ball, was fouled, and connected on both free throw attempts to put the game away.

Gonzaga and North Carolina should put on a performance for the ages. Both teams are capable of knocking down big-time shots down the stretch. If the game is tied late in the second half, fans will be in for a treat.
