Michigan earned a huge road win over No. 4 Michigan State on Saturday afternoon. In the big picture, the Wolverines move to 15-4 and now have a signature victory on their resume come Selection Sunday.
Moritz Wagner’s ankle-breaking crossover and Dirk impression were the best parts of Michigan’s upset of Michigan State
Michigan’s junior big man is making a star turn.

The Big Ten might actually get four teams in the NCAA tournament. Woo!
We’re not here to talk about the big picture, though. We’re here to talk about how impressive Michigan junior big man Moritiz Wagner was on his way to 27 points in the win.
This ankle-breaking crossover was nasty
That’s a 6’11 big man putting the opposition on skates with a behind-the-back dribble. That is a special move you do not see every day.
He did his best Dirk Nowitzki impression
Like Nowitzki, Wagner is from Germany. You can bet he studied the Dirk Fade growing up. This is as picture-perfect as the impression gets.
He can drop poster dunks, too
Wagner’s shooting splits were incredible in this game: 8-of-13 from the field, 3-of-4 from three, 8-of-8 from the foul line. Michigan has the type of stretch five every team in the country would love.
Remember that in March.
