Poor Illinois. The Illini battled all the way back against Nebraska on Monday night to take a two-point lead with under 10 seconds remaining. Illinois looked poised for its first Big Ten win of the season.
Nebraska’s James Palmer Jr. had other ideas. This three-pointer at the buzzer gave the Cornhuskers a 64-63 win. What a moment for Nebrasketball.
Meanwhile, for Illinois:
Palmer was excellent all night for Nebraska, finishing with 24 points in the win.
Nebraska is now 13-7 overall and 4-3 in the Big Ten. They needed that one.
