Purdue took care of business on Wednesday night against Maryland, fending off a strong second-half push from the Terrapins to come away with a 75-67 win. This kept the Boilermakers’ undefeated start in Big Ten play alive and pushed their winning streak to 18 games.
Purdue basketball’s very nice winning streak just keeps going
For 69 days and counting, Purdue basketball hasn’t lost.

It’s been a long time since Purdue lost. How long?
Nice Delightful.
The Boilermakers started the season No. 20 in the preseason polls, but they took it on the chin during their big early season tournament appearance at the Battle 4 Atlantis. Purdue lost to a Tennessee team no one knew would be this good in its opener, then got upset by Western Kentucky in the next game. They salvaged the trip by beating Arizona in a last place game with Final Four-level talent.
Now they haven’t lost since.
Purdue is No. 3 in the polls with seven games remaining in the regular season. The Boilermakers have the No. 3 offense and No. 11 defense in the country, per KenPom. They have shooters all over the court and a 7’2 monster inside in senior center Isaac Haas. Their 43.2 percent mark from three-point range as a team is the best in college basketball.
That’s how you win 18-straight games, even if just three of those wins (Arizona, Louisville, Michigan) have come against ranked teams at the time. This winning streak is now old enough to ...

Long story short, Purdue is rolling. The highlight of this winning streak might be this Carsen Edwards dunk against rival Indiana last week:
This has become the best program in the state of Indiana — and that’s saying something. Enjoy it, Boilers fans. Pretty soon this winning streak will hit legal drinking age.
