It is hard to be surprised by the degree of domination from the UConn Huskies in women’s college basketball anymore. But every once in a while, UConn flexes so hard that it’s legitimately jaw-dropping.
UConn women’s basketball won a game by 81 points against Wichita State
UConn shot 71 percent from the field and had 21 steals.


Saturday’s win over Wichita State was one of those moments.

The Huskies beat Wichita State 124-43. 124-43!
This was a beatdown from the opening tip. UConn scored 41 points in the first quarter, led 67-23 at halftime and held Wichita State to just four points in the fourth quarter.
The stats from this game are just wild:
- UConn shot 71 percent from the field and 50 percent (10-of-20) from three.
- UConn finished with 32 assists to just eight for Wichita.
- UConn had 21 steals!!!!!
It’s the second time in UConn history its scored 120 points or more
UConn is now 24-0 on the season. They play No. 4 Louisville on Monday. After that, the Huskies will be four games away from a perfect regular season.
