Arizona’s Allonzo Trier ruled ineligible by NCAA after failing another PED test
The Wildcats’ star shooting guard has reportedly failed another PED test.

Trier missed the first 19 games of last season as Arizona refused to update his situation. It eventually came out that Trier had tested positive for PEDs and needed to get the drugs completely out of his system before returning to the court.
Trier has been fantastic for Arizona this season as a junior. He’s second in the Pac-12 in scoring at 19.6 points per game while shooting 54.1 percent from the field, 43 percent from three-point range and 85.4 percent from the foul line.
The Wildcats are coming off wins over USC and Arizona State and are back up to No. 14 in the polls. Arizona was No. 3 in the preseason polls before losing three straight games at the Battle 4 Atlantis in November. It appeared they were finally hitting their stride just now.
This is the latest hit for an Arizona team with Final Four aspirations. The Wildcats were also implicated in the FBI corruption scandal that led to the school firing assistant coach Book Richardson and losing numerous recruits.
