Charles Barkley’s college basketball knowledge is in midseason form, which is to say he still has no idea what he’s talking about.
Charles Barkley, college basketball analyst, doesn’t know the difference between Purdue and Iowa
Someone please help Charles Barkley learn his states.

During a segment on TNT’s Inside the NBA on Thursday, Barkley tried his hand at imparting some college hoops wisdom. It did not go well:
For those who would like a transcript:
Charles: “I thought Iowa was the best team in the country up until last night”
Shaq “Iowa?”
Charles: “No uh, Purdue. They’re the same. They’re in the same state. Iowa and Indiana”
Kenny: “Idaho and Indiana?”
Charles: “Montana and Iowa...”
Barkley is referencing Purdue’s loss to Ohio State earlier this week, even if he’s a little lazy on the specifics.
Barkley will return as an analyst throughout the NCAA Tournament this year, starting on Selection Sunday. Get ready for more gems like this.
