There are a few notable things happening here:
I don’t know what this Rhode Island bench celebration is, but I want to
Sports should be fun. The Rams are having fun.

One is the vicious crossover to set up a three-pointer by Rhode Island guard E.C. Matthews, which starts the whole sequence. The other is the bad turnover by Oklahoma guard Trae Young, who tried to dribble up the court after and got stripped by Rhode Island’s Fatts Russell. It was a really good sequence for the Rams and a really bad one for the Sooners.
But I’d like to draw your attention to the bench — specifically, to whatever this Rhode Island dude is doing as part of a group celebration with a teammate:
It looks like it’s a CPR routine, kind of. But that doesn’t explain what the guy on the ground is doing with his arms while he’s on his back. At any rate, it’s all good.
The Rams are a fun team in general. They prefer a chaotic style of basketball, with a heavy press that’s designed to force players like Young into mistakes. We’re early in the NCAA tournament, but they’re positioned to be one of its most fun teams on the sidelines, too.
