Michigan is headed to the Elite 8 for the third time in six years after dismantling Texas A&M in the Sweet 16. In a game that was never close, the Wolverines won 99-72, after hitting 14 three-pointers by eight different players.
Michigan made 14 3-pointers during their offensive clinic against Texas A&M
They hit 10 three-pointers in the first half alone!

Including this beautiful moment for CJ Baird.
The Michigan Wolverines put on an absolute offensive clinic in the first half of their Sweet 16 game against Texas A&M. Michigan went into halftime with a 52-28 lead and honestly, the margin felt like it should have been larger than that.
The first half went like this:
- Michigan went 10-of-16 from deep
- Shot 57% from the field
- Averaged 1.53 points per possession
- Only had one turnover, while Texas A&M had 10
Mo Wagner was also a huge part of the Wolverine’s monster game, scoring 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting and hitting three three-pointers of his own. He also dominated inside with plays like this.
Texas A&M tried both a zone and a man-to-man look and neither were able to stop the Wolverines. Typically, Texas A&M is known for defending extremely well in the post, but they have had no answer for this hot shooting Michigan team.
Michigan knows that Texas A&M has a size advantage and they made the most of it by making them chase them around the perimeter. It worked to near perfection in the first half and carried through to a Sweet 16 victory.
