Louisville’ junior Asia Durr is arguably already the best shooting guard in the country. Durr is a pure-scoring lefty who’s shot looks so good going in it’ll make you wish you were a lefty too. She’s currently leading Louisville back to the Final Four for the first time in five years after blazing through their side of the bracket.
Louisville’s Asia Durr is must-watch basketball in the Women’s Final Four
The pure-shooting lefty already put up 47 points in a game once this year.

She’s already had a ridiculous season, putting up 47 points against Ohio State and another 36 against Notre Dame, both ranked in the top five. She was also recently selected as a first-team AP All-American, an award she can sit next to her ACC Player of the Year honor. She’s also a finalist for the Citizen Naismith Women’s Player of the Year award.
I broke down all the ways she can get buckets:
1. Step back three-pointer? Got it.
She comes off the screen, gets her defender going the opposite direction of the screen thats coming, and then steps into a beautiful three-pointer.
2. Leave her open four feet behind the line? Nah, don’t do that.
You must guard Durr at all times. There is no place she can be unattended.
3. Midrange game? In her bag.
Even when forcing her to the right, the left handed-guard is still able to get a step and create space for the shot.
4. What about finishing at the rim? Please.
Add in a steal and a pass up ahead to get this play moving, it still ends in Durr doing the incredible.
5. She can grab a rebound and run like Russell Westbrook.
One of my favorites is this one-handed rebound she grabs, pushing the ball up ahead, which still results in a knockdown three-pointer for herself.
She’s a great passer, too.
This pass isn’t easy. She’s able to get the ball into a place only her teammate can grab. It’s over the defender but not so far the help defense can get to it. It’s perfect placement and just adds to firepower.
Durr’s incredible offensive game will be on display Friday night when Louisville matches up with Mississippi State in the Final Four. Durr leading this Louisville team is not a game you want to miss.
