Stephen Curry’s SC30 Select Camp for elite high school players wrapped up this week in San Francisco. Its breakout star was 15-year-old Azzi Fudd, the first female hooper ever invited to the camp.
Azzi Fudd is the 15-year-old girl who dominated Stephen Curry’s elite basketball camp
Fudd is one of the two girls basketball players to ever be invited to the event, and she proved she belongs.

Fudd is a 5’11 guard from Arlington, Virginia, who is entering her sophomore year of high school at St. John’s in D.C. She spent the first part of her summer winning her second gold medal with USA Basketball as a part of the program’s U17 team.
Then she went to Curry’s camp and and competed with some of the best boys high school players in the country.
Fudd competed against her male peers in scrimmages and drills all week, but she really stole the show in the three-point contest. She won the whole damn thing.
Fudd then got to take on Curry in a three-point shootout, but failed to beat him. Here’s what she said when it was over, per the Washington Post:
“After when he gave me the trophy, he said, ‘Congrats on winning,’” Fudd said. “I said, ‘I didn’t win, I didn’t beat you.’ Then he told me, ‘You’re coming back next year,’ so I’m going to try to beat him next year. That’s the goal, to beat him.”
That is so impressive, especially when you consider who she was going up against. This year’s group of campers included five-star recruits like Cole Anthony, Jalen Green, Nico Mannion, R.J. Hampton, and James Wiseman.
Fudd was one of two girls invited to the camp for the first time in its five-year history, along with USA Basketball teammate Cameron Brink. The list of past alumni from this camp is littered with NBA players, including De’Aaron Fox, Dennis Smith Jr., and Markelle Fultz. What an incredible experience for Fudd:
As a freshman, Fudd averaged 24 points per game and helped St. John’s to a 32-2 record and multiple championships. Also she doesn’t graduate high school until 2021.
Get on the Azzi Fudd bandwagon immediately.
