Running back D.J. Foster, one of the better backs in the country, has a new leader after visiting Cal over the weekend, per ESPN:
After Cal Visit, D.J. Foster Says Golden Bears Lead
D.J. Foster is set to make his commitment on Friday.
Foster already has visited Arizona State and Oregon and still has a trip set to USC (Jan. 13). Right now, the Bears are definitely the team to beat.
“Cal is my leader; I loved it there,” Foster said. “I have a lot of family in Oakland, and my mom actually grew up in Berkeley. I’ve been there before, but this was really my first time seeing Cal up close, and it was incredible. The campus is great and I loved the overall atmosphere there. The facilities are incredible and easily the best I’ve ever seen.
The 5’11”, 185-pound Foster is about what you would expect from a highly-rated, smaller back. He’s very elusive, fast and quick. He catches the ball well, and can be used in the slot as well. Foster will be a match-up issue for most defenses.
