Kass Everett Reverses Course, Signs With Oklahoma After Announcing For Texas Tech

Kass Everett announced he would attend one school and then chose another.

Kass Everett, a cornerback from Piere College who announced he would sign with Texas Tech on Wednesday at his signing ceremony, has had a change of heart and has faxed his paperwork to the Oklahoma Sooners, per Crimson and Cream Machine.

Sooner fans were dumbfounded earlier in the day when Everett announced for the Red Raiders at his ceremony. Everett would likely start for either school. In the end, the Sooners got their man, and Texas Tech is left wondering what happened.

For those new to the process, here is how it works. Players often announce where they intend to sign at a ceremony. But the verbal announcement is non-binding. Until the player signs and faxes his paperwork to the school, he is not locked in to any destination.

Pierce has a good blend of size and speed at 5’11” and 185 pounds. He should play immediately for Oklahoma.
