Dalvin Tomlinson Commits To Alabama Over Georgia Tech, Georgia

At 6’3” and 270 pounds, he is uniquely suited to play in the 3-4 defense run by his three top suitors -- Georgia Tech, Georgia and Alabama. Tomlinson is rated four stars by most of the major recruiting services.
Tomlinson is a special recruit. He is the rare top defensive line prospect to also be recruited by schools in the Ivy League, holding a 3.9 GPA. He also plays trumpet, the snare drum, and other instruments. Tomlinson is also a two-time defending state champion wrestler, and his great balance is on display in his football film for Henry County High School.

Henry County High School Super 11 defensive end Dalvin Tomlinson is deciding whether or not to stay in the state of Georgia or if he’d rather play for the defending National Champion.
Apparently the Yellow Jackets and the Crimson Tide are the frontrunners for Tomlinson’s services. Tomlinson attended nearly every Georgia Tech home game in 2011 and reportedly wants to stay close to home. Carvell considers UGA to be the “dark horse” for the services of the young player, but noted that Tomlinson has visited the campus multiple times for varying reasons and the home-state ties may play a factor.

Dalvin Tomlinson is one of the top defensive end recruits in the country. And with a heated battle between Alabama, Georgia and Georgia Tech, every contact with coaches counts.
So Georgia fans could not have been happy when they learned that Tomlinson would not be making a visit to Georgia this weekend because of his quest for another state championship in wrestling.
