Shaq Thompson Will Not Visit UCLA As Signing Day Approaches

Highly-touted safety Shaq Thompson continues to mull his options as signing day approaches, but will not further complicate his decision with an official visit this coming weekend. Thompson, who has hosted numerous Pac-12 coaches for in-home visits this week, has decided not to visit UCLA on the final weekend before signing day. Thompson committed to Cal, but has been rethinking his commitment following the departure of Tosh Lupoi.

The news comes from Justin Hopkins.

Following #Oregon in-home visit, Shaq Thompson elects not to visit #UCLA

For now, it would seem Thompson is down to Cal, his original choice, Washington, where Lupoi now coaches, and perhaps Oregon, a school that’s been coming on strong as of late. All three schools reportedly visited Thompson this past week, with Oregon getting the last word in.

Then again, it’s anyone’s guess what’s going on in his mind at the moment, and Thompson’s decision seems to be as up in the air as anyone’s.
