2014 OT Demetrius Knox set to decide between Texas, Ohio State, Alabama, and TCU

Months after it appeared that the Fort Worth (TX) All Saints offensive tackle prospect was ready to make a decision, the date has finally been set.

2014 Fort Worth (TX) All Saints offensive tackle Demetrius Knox wants this all to be a surprise, how his recruitment comes to an end.

A decision date is now set for November 26th ($), with a ceremony to be held at his high school.

The four finalists for the consensus four-star prospect with an impressive offer list are Texas, Ohio State, Alabama, and TCU.

But will it really be a surprise? The drama rather dissipated with his recruitment after his best friend and teammate Daniel Gresham, a fullback with legitimate running back skills, committed to Texas back in August.

The two have maintained for some time that they will end up at the same school, though the plan was originally to ttalk about it during their senior seasons, a timetable that got significantly accelerated when Gresham received his offer and decided that he was ready to end his recruitment.

In fact, when Gresham made his decision, it seemed for a few hours like Knox might follow suit and become a Longhorn. Instead, he opted to hold off after talking with those close to him.

Now, with his junior season complete after going undefeated and winning the small-school state championship, the 6-4, 300-pounder has decided that he wants to be done with the recruiting process:

I was talking it over with my coach and he said we should just go ahead and get this whole thing over with. I’m kind of tired of talking to other coaches and all that stuff. I just want everybody to know where I’m going.

The only question at this point is whether he will follow through with the package deal that he and his friend have discussed for so long.

The answer probably won’t be a surprise.
