Adam Taylor commits to the Nebraska Cornhuskers

After trying to commit to LSU back in the summer, the Katy running back has found a landing spot in the Big 10.

Now healthy after tearing an ACL in the first game of the 2011 season, 2013 Katy (TX) running back Adam Taylor committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Friday evening, with the news breaking on Saturday.

The comeback for the 6-1, 210-pound Taylor has included almost 1,600 yards this season and 25 touchdowns for the consensus three-star prospect with four-star upside.

Taylor had visited Lincoln last weekend for the Penn State game and enjoyed many of the aspects of the program, especially the strength and conditioning work there and the atmosphere created by the raucous fans, prompting him to make the call after saying following his trip that he wanted to wait until the end of his season ($).

Despite the fact that LSU had decided not to take a commitment from Taylor during the summer, the bruising back had offers from Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, but possesses a downhill style that seems well suited to the Nebraska rushing attack.

The 15th commitment in the 2013 Nebraska class and the first running back to pledge, Taylor fills a major need for Bo Pelini and his staff moving forward trying to replace Rex Burkhead and add depth behind breakout star Ameer Abdullah.

While we’re here, let’s watch some of the many fine college football videos from SB Nation’s YouTube channel:
