Robert Nkemdiche denies decommitment from Clemson

Following multiple reports that Robert Nkemdiche had decommitted from the Clemson Tigers, the nation’s top recruit denied that he has made any decision late Wednesday night. In a statement to the AJC, Nkemdiche confirmed that he was still committed to Clemson and that he had not yet made a decision, stating that he was “Just undecided.”

“Nothing final yet,” Nkemdiche told the AJC in a text message at 11 p.m. EST.

Several weeks ago, SB Nation’s Steven Godfrey published an in-depth article after talking with several sources at the school. In it, he indicated that the Ole Miss sources were extremely confident that the 6’4, 270-pound defensive end would ultimately end up in Oxford.

Recently, Nkemdiche’s mother came out in opposition of his commitment to Clemson and in favor of him attending Ole Miss.

Many insiders expected the decommitment and subsequent flip to the Rebels to occur this weekend, as Nkemdiche and family again visit Ole Miss. The initial reports may have been premature.

While we’re here, let’s watch some of the many fine college football videos from SB Nation’s YouTube channel:
