Is Michael Parker Committed To Maryland?

How long will Michael Parker stay committed to Maryland if his parents are not on board?

Tuesday was the cause for much celebration among the Maryland faithful as Virginia athlete Michael Parker committed to the Terps over Virginia Tech, Tennessee, N.C. State, and Ohio State. Suffice to say, this was a really big deal for Maryland. Parker is listed as an athlete by most recruiting services, but could be a stud safety in college, which is where he would play if he sticks with Maryland.

And sticking with Maryland seems to be the real issue. There’s a report out there that Parker’s parents are not happy with his commitment, and that they want him to slow it down and talk with them some more. For his part, Parker doesn’t seem to care.

As of now, Parker is still committed to Maryland. But this is certainly a situation worth watching, and opposing coaches are not going to back off anytime soon. Also, Parker set his highlights to Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger”:
