The Oklahoma Sooners are hosting a big running back recruit this weekend, as SB Nation's Crimson And Cream Machine reports that Delray Beach (Fla.) High School's Greg Bryant will be making the trip to Norman. Bryant is a solid 5'11" and 200 pounds, and holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, USC, and West Virginia.

Bryant has impressive balance and strength. He’s not a track star, but has plenty of speed to get the job done and is rarely caught from behind. He profiles as a workhorse back at the next level, capable of handling in excess of 20 carries per game.
What are Oklahoma’s chances with Bryant? According to CC Machine, this trip is crucial in positioning Oklahoma:
Knowing how highly Bryant has spoken of Oklahoma in the past, there is no reason to expect him to have anything but an amazing time. A commitment isn’t totally out of the question, but it may not necessarily come on the trip itself. Most of the time, the player and his parent like to go home and talk about what they experienced and that has always been something OU coaches encouraged players to do. So what we’re saying is don’t get depressed if you’re not reading a story here on Sunday about OU’s latest commitment. If this incredibly slow start to 2013 recruiting for OU has taught us anything, it’s that patience is most definitely a virtue.I don’t expect Bryant to commit on the visit, but do agree that getting an out-of-state prospect to visit early in the process is a big key in landing the kid. Out of sight is often out of mind, and it is virtually impossible to land out-of-state kids who don’t visit, particularly when they have constant attention from suitors closer to home.
