Notre Dame Football Recruiting: Erik Bunte Not Visiting For Spring Game

UCLA fans are breathing a sigh of relief as Erik Bunte had to cancel his trip to Notre Dame at the last minute.

Notre Dame will host its annual spring game Saturday, and many top recruits are expected to attend. Notre Dame recruiting expert Jim Miesle of One Foot Down has a great list of recruits expected in town for the Irish.

One such recruits was Erik Bunte, who is currently committed to UCLA. Unfortunately for Irish fans, Bunte is not going to make the trip due to an illness in the family.

Still, let’s have a fresh look at the big tackle. Bunte’s sophomore film was impressive, but his junior film debuted April 1, and it is very impressive:

Bunte moves his impressive frame (6’7” 320) quite well. He seems to have heavy hands and brings his feet. Some sites still have him as a three star recruit, but I expect him to become a consensus four-star at some point in the near future.
