Less than a day after securing a commitment from Kennedale (TX) linebacker Brett Wade, the Texas A&M Aggies added yet another on Thursday morning with the pledge of Rockwall (TX) Rockwall-Heath defensive end Jordan Points, who will join his teammate Jay Arnold in College Station.
Texas A&M Recruiting 2013: Jordan Points Commits To Aggies
Newest Aggie will join a high school teammate at A&M.

Called the “Bash Brothers” by their teammates ($), Points and Arnold make up a formidable duo for their Metroplex-area high school. A 6’4”, 255-pounder, Points is considered a three-star prospect by the services and held offers from SMU, North Texas, Syracuse, and Tulsa. He is the 17th pledge in a strong Aggie recruiting class set to join new coach Kevin Sumlin at A&M.
Classified as a strongside defensive end, Points has the frame to eventually slide inside situationally as a pass rusher or even grow into a three-tech defensive tackle, where Points often plays for his high school. At times, he can shoot gaps to penetrate into the offensive backfield, but prefers to use a bullrush inside. When lined up as a defensive end, Points lacks a strong first step, but has an effective pass-rushing move in which he attacks the body of the offensive lineman, then hits and sheds with a bit of a swim move to take the edge.
