Former Texas Pledge Daeshon Hall Commits To Washington

After recently decommitting from Texas, a big-time defensive end prospect has a new home in a familiar environment.

When news broke on Thursday that 2013 Lancaster defensive end Daeshon Hall had decommitted from Texas, wanted to stay closer to his one-time and likely future home in Seattle, but was still considering Notre Dame, something didn’t make sense. On Friday, however, Hall backed up his words by making his second commitment:

The 6-6, 230-pound Hall is actually a pure weakside defensive end with an NFL frame and strong Seattle connections, having grown up in the area before moving to Texas recently. As of Thursday, Hall hadn’t decided whether he would move back to the Pacific Northwest, but his pledge to the Huskies suggests that he is serious about returning to the town in which he was born.

Hall had said Thursday that he was also considering Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon, USC, and Notre Dame.

The commitment from Hall is a highlight in a day that saw the Huskies land a reported eight pledges in one of the biggest one-day hails in recent recruiting history. Coach Sark and recruiting coordinator Tosh Lupoi are on a rolle in Seattle as they seek to return the Huskies to former glory.
