De'Asian Richardson committed to the West Virginia Mountaineers Monday, as expected. He stars for Orange Park (Fla.) High, which is in the Jacksonville area. Richardson plays defensive end at 6'3 and 285 pounds, and is listed by some as a defensive tackle. He is a three or four-star recruit, depending on the service.
De’Asian Richardson A Good Fit For West Virginia

Richardson had initially committed to Florida State, but the commitment lasted less than a day.
Richardson is a good fit at West Virginia. He wants to play defensive end, but there were questions about his ability to do so in the traditional 4-r defense. The Mountaineers run a 3-4/3-3-5 attack, utilizing a three-man line. That should allow Richardson to stay at “end.” In reality, he’ll be playing head up on the offensive tackle in a five-technique alignment, which is a nice fit for a player of his skills.
